Sharing my taffakur on TAFADI ( fidagiri) I recall the meaningful lines of Kabir. For those not conversant with Hindi I have tried to convey the meaning in English.
तो आग लगी इस वृक्ष को,
और जलन लगे सब पात
तुम क्यों जलो पंखेरुओं,
पंख तुम्हारे पास?
फल फुल खादे इस वृक्ष के,
और बीट पड़ी है पात
उड़ना हमारा धर्म नहीं,
और जलना वृक्ष के साथ
Kabir expounds that a raging forest fire burns a tree which has been sheltering the birds. As the tree burns, it tells the birds to fly away as they have wings.
To which the birds reply. You have given us shelter, and we have eaten your fruits. We will not forsake you in this difficult times. If need be will burn with you.
Let us travel back in time to that fateful Ashura night. Imam Hussain (SA) addressing his noble Asha’b Kirams requests them to leave him to his Fate, and dear readers you have heard it a hundred times in vaaz their reply, will not elaborate. That is true TAFADI.
Let us travel in time a few centuries ahead and you find Molaya Raj bin Hasan in ‘ fakiri’ garb knocking at the doors of frightened and persecuted mumineens, who were persuaded to see reason and Haq and not to forsake Moula. Molaya Raj obtained sahadat and his body was cut to pieces. This is true TAFADI.
For not divulging the whereabout of his Moula to the dushman, Sayedi Musanji Tajsaheb of Baroda was thrown into a burning cauldron from a high gate. The Fatemi history is full of such resplendent heroic TAFAFDI.
They all sacrificed so that we can live in peace and harmony, and acquire Ilm in comfort with all worldly amenities. Just reflect over this thought and recall the history of our Awliya Kiram and surely tears of Hamd and Shukr will flow and that will be true Milad Mubarak Tehniyaat to Aa’li Qadr Muffadal Moula.
