A historic dawat event unfolded in Ghurratul Saifee Masjid and Rozat Tahera sahat when 10,000 students gathered to offer namaz with Aqa Moula (TUS) on Saturday evening 28th SEHRULLAH 1445 H and to pledge that ‘ MOULA hame a’pna farzando aam tem nahi jaiye…’
In his Laylatul Qadr vasila Mubaraka Aqa Moula ( TUS) fondly remembered his ‘farzando’ and expressed his deep concern for them, in the context of the fast changing and evolving Internet technology.
Merely a few clicks on the key board resulting from curiosity , peer pressure, wrong company may lead the child wayward, and although he/she may be growing up under parental care, the parents would be totally unaware of what their child/ children innocent curiosity has led to labyrinth of the unchecked power of information.
Thus with a few clicks, the child becomes ensnared in the tangled web of unregulated and character harming information. Now consider those youngsters who are sent, for better education to other countries / cities and live on their own.
In their cases the digital world accompanied by peer pressure, wrong company becomes a Pandora’s Box. These are just a few concerns, tip on the iceberg that concerns our beloved Bawa Shafiq.
The vast assembly of ‘farzando’ and their pledge and the nazara’t and dua mubarak of Aqa Moula ( TUS) will surely safeguard the dawat ‘farzando’ from the evil effects of unregulated internet.
Now it becomes very important, I must say imperative for the educators of the community to ensure that the mumin child derives all the good benefits that the Internet has to offer, how best to utilise the resources for the good of Deen, upbringing and education.
It can be done. The educators have to more imaginative, resourceful and understanding. The time is long gone, you just cannot ‘shut up ‘ a child, as educators you have to reach out, address their questions and concern.
Although being no educator , an Arabi (simpleton) aged 76 years, had thought on the subject of how best Internet, specially AI can be mobilised to make Deen knowledge more engrossing and interesting.
